On March 3, 2026, X.Y. Tower received an official letter of appreciation from a customer in Niger, commending the company's delivered 50m³ guyed lattice tower for its outstanding product quality and efficient installation experience, which has significantly boosted local energy infrastructure development.
The delivered 50m guyed lattice tower is a core product custom-designed by X.Y. Tower to meet Niger's unique climatic and geographical conditions. Located in West Africa's inland region, Niger features a tropical savanna climate with year-round high temperatures, little rainfall, and frequent strong winds in some areas. Additionally, certain project sites are situated in remote regions with poor transportation access, where traditional transmission towers often struggle to cope with complex environmental challenges. To meet customer needs, X.Y. Tower’s technical team conducted three months of on-site research and solution validation before deciding on a steel-angle space truss structure. The main materials are high-strength Q345 steel angles, combined with G6A extra-high-strength aluminum alloy core steel strand guys, strictly designed and manufactured in accordance with the T/CEC 5064-2021 standard to ensure exceptional wind and corrosion resistance.
During the design phase, the team fully considered the local realities of limited lifting equipment and constrained construction capabilities. Innovatively, a modular component and bolted connection approach was adopted, dividing the entire tower into 12 independent modules, each weighing no more than 2 tons, enabling transportation to remote sites via small vehicles. Meanwhile, the company provided detailed installation manuals and video guidance, along with real-time online technical support from senior engineers. According to customer feedback, the local construction team completed the entire tower assembly and commissioning within just 7 days—40% faster than traditional local tower construction cycles—greatly reducing labor and time costs.
During the trial operation period, the guyed tower successfully withstood a sudden 8-level windstorm in Niger, maintaining a tower inclination of less than 0.5‰, with all performance indicators meeting or exceeding international standards. The customer’s project manager wrote in the letter: “X.Y. Tower’s products have not only solved the challenges of building transmission lines in our remote areas but also demonstrated the strength of Chinese manufacturing through exceptional quality. We look forward to deeper cooperation with X.Y. Tower to jointly advance Niger’s energy development.”
In recent years, X.Y. Tower has actively responded to the Belt and Road Initiative, focusing on emerging market demands in Africa and Southeast Asia, and continuously expanding its overseas presence. The company has established localized service teams in 12 countries, including Kenya, Tanzania, and Indonesia, delivering over 3,000 transmission towers in total and enabling the annual transmission of more than 18 billion kWh of clean energy, providing strong support for local economic and social development. The success of this Niger project not only highlights the company’s technical strength and service excellence but also sets a new benchmark for China-Africa energy cooperation.
Going forward, X.Y. Tower will continue to uphold the principle of “quality first, customer foremost,” further increasing R&D investment and optimizing product performance and service systems to contribute more Chinese wisdom and solutions to global energy infrastructure development. The company plans to establish five additional localized service centers across Africa by the end of 2026, further enhancing response speed and service quality to provide superior products and support to more international customers.
