Compared with international advanced countries, the steel used for transmission towers in China has single material, low strength value and small choice of material. With the continuous growth of China's power demand, and due to the shortage of land resources and the improvement of environmental protection requirements, the problems of line route selection and the demolition of houses along the line are becoming more and more serious. Large capacity and high-voltage transmission lines have developed rapidly, with the emergence of multi circuit lines on the same tower and AC lines with higher voltage levels 1000kV and DC ± 800kV transmission lines. All these make the iron tower tend to be large-scale, and the design load of the tower is becoming larger and larger. The commonly used hot-rolled angle steel is difficult to meet the service requirements of the high load tower in terms of strength and specification

   Composite section angle steel can be used for high load tower, but the wind load shape coefficient of composite section angle steel is large, there are many members and specifications, the node structure is complex, the amount of connecting plate and structural plate is large, and the installation is complex, which greatly increases the project construction investment. The steel pipe tower has some disadvantages, such as complex structure, difficult control of weld quality, low processing and production efficiency, high pipe price and processing cost, large investment of processing equipment in the tower plant and so on.

   The design of iron tower has been improved for many years. In order to save cost, we can only start with material.

   Transmission tower is a high-rise structure with low natural vibration frequency, close to the fluctuating wind frequency, prone to resonance, large displacement and damage to the structure. Therefore, it is necessary to consider the dynamic effect of wind load in structural design to enhance the wind resistance of the structure.

   Moreover, the safety evaluation of tower is an important link of transmission line. The corrosion of tower components is one of the main forms of tower damage, which often leads to the deterioration of material properties and the reduction of strength, which affects the bearing capacity and structural safety of tower structure.

This morning, XYTOWERS assembled and tested the power towers of Myanmar customers. After several hours of hard work by technicians, we finally assembled them successfully.
