Tongjiang, located in the hinterland of Qinba mountain area at the junction of Sichuan and Shaanxi, was once the capital of Sichuan Shaanxi revolutionary base, the second largest Soviet Area in China. In 1932, the Fourth Front Army of the Chinese workers' and peasants' Red Army entered Sichuan from Lianghekou Town, Tongjiang County, established the Sichuan Shaanxi revolutionary base, and gave birth to a 16 character motto of "wisdom, courage, determination, difficulty elimination and innovation, unity and struggle, endless".
This year marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. Red Tongjiang has become a "punch in place" for the study and education of party history. According to the requirements of Sichuan provincial Party committee and provincial government on the construction of red Expressway in Zhenba expressway, Tongjiang County power supply company of State Grid implemented it in strict accordance with the design scheme approved by the provincial Party committee and provincial government. The tower body of tower 36 of 35kV Gaoming Jintang line was painted red and inlaid with 13 five pointed stars.
